Singapore-based BCB Blockchain is creating a platform of solutions for smart cities in the Philippines in partnership with QBO Innovation Hub and Animo Labs.

“We hope to attract Filipino developers who are using the cutting-edge technology that is melded into building smart cities,” BCB Blockchain founder and chief executive Douglas Gan said in a news briefing Friday.

BCB Blockchain is a platform designed by GBCI Ventures, a smart city solutions provider that serves a whole gamut of technology expertise from Internet of Things to the integration of financial technology, infrastructure technology and even applications in agriculture.

The partnership with local incubators is a commitment to work closely in critical areas for co-incubation projects, research and development, seminars and trainings, promotional activities, competitions, hackathons and collaborative endeavors for smart city or blockchain development.

BCB will work with the leading technology business incubators to contribute to the breakthrough of blockchain technology as a strategic platform to accelerate the development of the next generation of smart city applications and projects in emerging countries.
