3 oil firms violated Train enforcement

The Energy Department found three companies that violated administrative rules when they failed to post announcements of the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Act on their stations.

“There are penalties for LPG (liquefied petroleum gas), they did not post,” Energy Assistant Secretary Leonido Pulido III said.

He said the department was still validating data submitted by the oil firms regarding their compliance to the TRAIN Law. There were previous allegations that some oil companies implemented higher excise tax on old inventories instead on new stocks.

“It (data submitted by the oil firms) looks correct. But we found three that violated the administrative rules, there is a requirement for posting in the stations,” he said.
