Actron Industries Inc. is expanding its packaging portfolio with advanced aseptic carton filling technology from SIG to meet rising demand for ready-to-drink beverages and dairy products in the Philippines.
The Philippine food solutions company will install a state-of-the-art SIG Midi 12 Aseptic filling line at its plant in Calamba, Laguna. Commercial production is scheduled to begin at the end of the second quarter of 2026.
Once operational, the system will allow Actron to aseptically fill a broad range of products for its customers on a single high-performance system. The technology will support ready-to-drink juices, teas, dairy beverages, cooking creams and all-purpose cream, aiding brand owners who seek greater flexibility and efficiency in their co-packing supply chain.
By expanding its packaging portfolio and technology, Actron can help local brands innovate with new product categories and packaging formats more quickly.
The SIG Midi 12 Aseptic fills up to 12,000 aseptic cartons per hour. It delivers format flexibility to fill both SIG MidiBloc and SIG MidiFit on the same filling line, as well as volume flexibility for 500ml, 750ml and 1,000ml sizes with quick changeovers done in minutes.
This allows contract manufacturers to adapt quickly to new market and customer needs and support beverage manufacturers and brand owners with fast product launches in a variety of formats without compromising on speed and output.
SIG commercial director for Southeast Asia, Japan and Korea Noer Wellington said the partnership brings flexible aseptic filling technology closer to the Philippines’ dairy and juice industry.
“Enabled by our packaging system, Actron can support local manufacturers respond to evolving consumer preferences with advanced packaging solutions that enable faster innovation and scalable growth,” Wellington said.
Actron Industries is a Filipino food solutions company with over 40 years of experience in food ingredient trading, product development and manufacturing. Actron provides outsourcing services for fast-moving consumer goods, including powder and beverages.
Actron Industries Inc. executive vice-president and commercial operations head Mannito Dueñas said the investment reinforces Actron’s position as a leading co-packing partner in the Philippines.
“By incorporating SIG’s flexible filling system, we can offer greater scale, agility and value to brand owners looking to innovate,“ he said.
SIG head of market for Malaysia, Vietnam and Philippines Nicolas Tan said the collaboration reflects a shared commitment to accelerating innovation and operational flexibility for local food and beverage brands.
“We see growing appetite in the region for more agile, scalable packaging systems, especially from emerging brands looking to test and launch quickly,“ said Tan.
