Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Ma. Cristina Roque on Tuesday announced the endorsement of 29 new projects worth P124.81 billion, bringing the total approved investments for the Board of Investments to P977 billion in 2025.
The latest endorsements are expected to generate 4,444 jobs nationwide once they receive final board approval.
The projects span several key sectors including renewable energy, infrastructure, transport, logistics, IT-BPM services, housing, manufacturing and tourism-related developments.
“The steady flow of investments endorsed by the BOI shows that we remain fully engaged in creating jobs and sustaining economic momentum,” Roque said.
“We are working relentlessly to ensure that investments translate into opportunities for Filipino workers and communities,” she said.
A significant portion of the capital infusion is led by large-scale clean energy projects such as wind, solar, waste-to-energy, and battery energy storage facilities located across Luzon and the Visayas.
The transport and connectivity sector also contributed to the year-end total through the acquisition of new-generation aircraft for domestic and international routes, as well as maritime assets intended to strengthen inter-island mobility and trade.
IT-BPM projects across Metro Manila, Central Luzon, the Cordilleras and Cebu are projected to create thousands of roles in customer support, technical services and remote staffing.
Housing and real estate projects across multiple regions aim to expand access to affordable living while stimulating employment in the construction industry.
Roque said that while total approvals have reached P977 billion, several high-value projects remain under evaluation and due diligence. These pending projects have the potential to further boost investment performance as 2025 concludes and the new year begins.
The DTI and BOI said they remain committed to converting these investment commitments into tangible economic impact through stronger industries and expanded opportunities for Filipinos.
