Robinsons Land opens 57th mall, civic hub in Caloocan

Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC), the real estate arm of the Gokongwei Group, has opened its 57th shopping mall, The Plaza Bagong Silang, a community mall and civic hub built in partnership with the Caloocan City government.

The project, a public-private partnership, aims to deliver essential services, livelihood opportunities and retail and dining options to one of Metro Manila’s most densely populated communities.

The Plaza Bagong Silang, which opened with a 100-percent occupancy rate, features a mix of essential retail and lifestyle establishments, including groceries, general merchandise, appliances, technology, restaurants and health services.

Located in Barangay Bagong Silang, near Gabriela Silang Elementary School and the Sto. Niño de Bagong Silang Parish, the development reflects RLC’s broader mission to uplift local communities.

Robinsons Malls business unit general manager and RLC executive vice president Faraday Go said The Plaza Bagong Silang embodies Robinsons Land’s commitment to helping communities grow and thrive.

“By integrating essential public facilities with a vibrant retail environment, we create spaces where people can connect, access services and build opportunities within their own neighborhood,” Go said.

The mall also includes a community center on the third floor.

“This is a dedicated civic space that houses a health center, a multi-purpose hall and a basketball court—facilities built to support the well-being, recreation and everyday needs of the families in the area,” said Robinsons Malls vice president for marketing and operations Joel Lumanlan.

Lumanlan said Robinsons Malls redefines what a community-focused mall should be—a development that seamlessly integrates retail, public services and recreational spaces that help residents thrive.

RLC earlier reported plans to renovate key shopping centers across the Philippines as part of its “premiumization strategy.”
