The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) announced a leadership transition, with EMS Group of Companies chairman and chief executive Ferdinand Ferrer taking over as the new president for the 2025-2026 term.
Ferrer succeeded former group president Enunina Mangio, who relinquished her post on Dec. 6, 2025.
Ferrer plans to build on the foundation laid by Mangio with a strategy centered on governance, investment and market access and workforce development. He outlined his three priorities: strengthening governance to make the PCCI more agile and service-driven, positioning the Philippines as a competitive investment and trade hub, and ensuring the workforce is future-ready through nationwide upskilling.
Mangio oversaw significant achievements, including strengthening the PCCI’s advocacy and expanding its regional and international engagement. The chamber secured substantial investment interests from countries including Korea, Taiwan, Japan, the United States India, and Germany. A recent business mission to Qatar generated a $2 billion commitment for infrastructure and energy, one of the largest pledges during her tenure.
