ATPI Philippines, a global leader in marine travel and logistics, announced plans to invest in cutting-edge artificial intelligence and data-driven technology to solidify its market position.
The strategic focus follows the company’s win as Specialty Travel Agency of the Year: Marine Industry at the TDM Travel Trade Excellence Awards Asia 2025.
The investment aims to enhance the company’s industry-leading solutions and services, which are critical for keeping vessels moving and seafarers protected.
“This award reflects ATPI Philippines’ long-standing reputation as a trusted partner to the shipping industry, blending global capability with local expertise and one that acts as a strategic extension of maritime operations,” said ATPI Philippines managing-director Yvette Araullo.
Araullo said the company would continue to invest in enhanced data visibility flexible travel solutions, strengthened partnerships and marine infrastructure while relying on advanced technology and highly skilled Filipino maritime specialists.
The company will also expand its end-to-end crew change capabilities to streamline client operations and reinforce its commitment to delivering long-term value for shipowners, operators and the crews vital to global trade.
ATPI’s focus on technology and data-driven solutions comes as the company was acquired by Direct Travel in September 2025. The acquisition expanded global resources and technology infrastructure across a combined travel volume of over $6 billion.
The Philippines ranks number one globally in supplying maritime crew and ATPI Philippines’ 24/7 World Support Centre in Makati is situated at the heart of the world’s largest seafarer talent pool.
ATPI’s technology-driven solutions, including its proprietary Traveler Tracking System CrewHub and CrewLink, offer seamless end-to-end management of crew travel. These innovations address cost and compliance as well as sustainability and seafarer wellbeing.
The company’s ability to balance operational efficiency with seafarer welfare has resulted in a 98-percent marine client retention rate, up to 20 percent year-on-year savings, and high client satisfaction.
ATPI Philippines has helped customers achieve significant cost reductions through optimized booking behavior. One dedicated customer achieved a 17-percent reduction in cost annually by combining preferential marine fares with evidence-based practice changes across high-expense ports.
An analysis of another leading shipping company’s crew change patterns by ATPI Philippines led the client to strategically shift off-signing activities from North and South America to Asia.
This resulted in Asian off-signers increasing by 8 percent year-on-year from January to September 2025, delivering both cost savings and improved operational efficiency.
