IKEA Philippines has opened its first Plan and Order Shop in TriNoma Mall, Quezon City, marking the start of a new small-format expansion strategy to bring its home furnishing experience closer to customers in northern Metro Manila.
The investment for the new site is estimated to be around P30 million to P35 million.
The new 500-square-meter store is designed to focus on design expertise and services, featuring interactive planning areas where customers can design and order customized kitchens, wardrobes and storage systems.
Quezon City was chosen for the first location because it accounts for the largest number of the company’s kitchen and wardrobe orders nationwide, according to IKEA Philippines country retail manager Ricardo Pinheiro.
“With this format, we get IKEA closer to many Filipinos in Quezon City,” said Pinheiro.
“A big store takes time to build, but this shop allows us to bring our range and identity closer to our customers while we study future opportunities for larger stores in the north,” he said.
The majority of the investment was spent on training and developing 14 design specialists who are ready to assist customers with personalized interior design solutions, Pinheiro said.
He said Filipino customers are among the most passionate in the world about IKEA’s products, ranking number one in customer surveys and store performance.
The top-selling categories in the Philippines reflect Filipino culture, centered on food, family and home organization, which the Plan and Order Shop concept was developed to address.
The new IKEA shop will open on Oct. 23, 2025 at the ground floor of TriNoma Mall, North Avenue corner EDSA, Quezon City, serving customers from northern Metro Manila and nearby provinces such as Bulacan and Pampanga.
