The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), led by president and general-manager Jose Arnulfo Veloso, handed over a P1-million sponsorship check to the Department of Education (DepEd) to support the 2025 World Teachers’ Day Celebration.
The event, which will be held on Oct. 6 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, carries the theme “Together for Teachers.” Schools Division Superintendent Nanette Losaria (National Capital Region) accepted the sponsorship on behalf of DepEd.
The financial grant will help fund the culminating event, which is expected to gather thousands of educators from across the country to recognize their vital role in nation-building and youth development.
The celebration is also designed to allow educators to access information and services from partner institutions, enjoy planned activities and receive recognition for their work.
As part of its sponsorship, GSIS will set up two engagement booths at the venue. Teachers can learn about GSIS programs, including the Lease with Option To Buy and other housing initiatives; the GSIS Digi ID and GSIS Touch mobile app; the Ginhawa Loan Bundle (consisting of Ginhawa Flex, Lite, and Max); and its non-life insurance product.
