Vivant Energy Corp has acquired a 40% equity stake in the Samal Solar Renewable Energy Corp. and its 53.14=megawatt-peak (MWp) solar project in Bataan.
The acquisition expands the company’s renewable energy footprint in Luzon and supplies 52 MW of clean power to Corenergy, Vivant’s retail electricity arm.
The solar facility, which began commercial operations in August 2025, was developed by Tigon Power Corp.
The investment supports the company’s goal to increase its renewable energy mix to 30 percent by 2030 and aligns with the Department of Energy’s call for stronger public-private partnerships.
Vivant Energy, a subsidiary of Vivant Corp, is a partner in the Philippine energy sector with investments in distribution, generation, retail electricity and engineering solutions.
