Student Beep cards with 50% discount available starting September 15

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced that personalized student Beep cards with an automatic 50-percent fare discount would become available starting Sept. 15, 2025, to make commuting easier for students.

“This is in response to the directive from President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to make student travel faster and more affordable,” the DOTr said in a Facebook post.

To get a card, students should present a valid school ID or registration form. The student Beep card can be printed on the spot.

The student Beep card is valid for a year and can be renewed every school year, the DOTr said.
