The Department of Tourism (DOT) opens the first tourist rest area (TRA) in the SOCCSKSARGEN region on Aug. 22, 2025. Strategically located within the Sultan Kudarat Economic Zone along the National Highway in Barangay EJC Montilla, Tacurong City, the facility serves as a vital stopover for travelers going to and from Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), Cotabato City, South Cotabato province and General Santos City.
