Concrete Stone teams up with Chinese firm to build P1.36-billion Bataan factory

Concrete Stone Corp. (CSC), an affiliate of Asiabest Group Inc., has teamed up with China’s Jiangxi GETO New Materials Corp. Ltd. to build a P1.36-billion manufacturing facility in Mariveles, Bataan, the companies said Tuesday.

The joint venture will develop a 40,000-square-meter industrial property to produce advanced formworks systems for the Philippine construction and infrastructure sectors.

The project will be managed by two new corporations: CSC-GETO Realty Corp. (CGRC), which will oversee the property and GETO-CSC Formworks Inc. (GCFI) which will operate the manufacturing facility.

CSC will provide the land and operational leadership, while GETO will contribute technology, expertise and equipment, they said in a statement. CSC is set to become a subsidiary of Asiabest Group International Inc. in the second quarter of 2026.

“We are setting the stage for a transformative industrial project that will boost local employment and enhance construction efficiency,” said Concrete Stone chairman Francis Lloyd Chua.

Lian Jie, general manager of GETO International, said the partnership would also establish a production hub to “serve the broader ASEAN region.”

The memorandum of agreement was signed on Tuesday and witnessed by Frederick Go, Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs.

The project is expected to create jobs, transfer advanced building technologies, and strengthen local supply chains, directly supporting the government’s housing and infrastructure programs.
