The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has appointed Lyn I. Javier as the new deputy governor for the Financial Supervision Sector. She succeeds Chuchi G. Fonacier.
Lyn Javier took her oath as the new deputy governor of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas’ (BSP) financial supervision sector (FSS) on Aug. 11, 2025.
Javier, who previously served as BSP assistant governor, succeeds Chuchi Fonacier, who retired on July 31.
BSP Governor Eli Remolona Jr. administered the oath of Javier as the new deputy governor at the central bank’s head office in Manila.
As head of the FSS, Javier will lead the central bank’s supervision of banks and other financial institutions to promote financial stability.
Javier joined the BSP as a bank officer in 1998 and rose through the ranks.
She was named assistant governor of the FSS’s policy and specialized supervision sub-sector. In 2021
Javier holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Ateneo de Manila University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accountancy from the University of the Philippines.
