SNAP-Benguet signs CSR agreement with host community

SN Aboitiz Power-Benguet (SNAP-Benguet) signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) with Barangay Tinongdan on July 9, 2025, to fund special corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects. These projects will focus on environment, livelihood, health, and education initiatives.

The agreement, signed by SNAP-Benguet officials and Tinongdan barangay chairman Edwin Atumpag, aims to strengthen the company’s long-term partnership with its host communities and demonstrates its ongoing commitment to inclusive local development.

“This MOA reflects our commitment to create lasting value in the areas where we operate. It ensures that our sustainability goals are translated into concrete, community-driven programs,” said SNAP president and chief executive Joseph Yu.

The signing ceremony was held during SNAP-Benguet’s 17th-anniversary celebration at the Binga Hydroelectric Power Plant.

SNAP-Benguet operates the Ambuklao and Binga hydroelectric power plants. The company is also expanding into emerging energy technologies, such as battery energy storage systems (BESS), as part of its contribution to the country’s energy transition.
