Philippine healthcare companies secured a combined $79 million in actual and potential sales at the HIMSS Global Health Conference and Exhibition, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) said Monday.

The DTI, through its Export Marketing Bureau (EMB) and the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in Washington D.C., led the Philippine delegation to the healthcare technology event held in March 2025.

“The Philippines is uniquely positioned to meet the demands of the global healthcare information management sector. We offer not only technical excellence but also genuine empathy—an essential ingredient in healthcare,” said DTI Secretary Ma. Cristina Roque.

The mission showcased the country’s health information management services (HIMS) capabilities amid rising global demand and fast-evolving innovations in healthcare delivery and management.

“The Philippines’ strong economic performance and policy reforms show our commitment to empowering the private sector. Through investment promotion, workforce development, and export strategies, we are poised to become a global leader in key sectors, especially in HIMS,” said EMB director Bianca Sykimte.
