President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. proclaimed Tagbilaran Uptown IT Hub 2 as a new Philippine Economic Zone Authority-registered IT Park on March 6, 2025.
Proclamation No. 821 designates three parcels of land in Barangay Dampas, Tagbilaran City as an IT park—the Tagbilaran Uptown IT Hub 2.
Set for completion within the year, the 11,237-square-meter IT park is expected to generate over 100 jobs and attract IT-BPM companies.
One prospective locator plans to invest more than P70 million and employ over 500 Filipinos.
This is the second ecozone project by Tagbilaran Uptown Realty Corp., following Tagbilaran Uptown IT Hub 1, under Proclamation No. 1151 on June 1, 2021.
It houses an IT-BPM firm with an investment exceeding P190 million and employing more than 1,400 Filipinos as of end-2024.
PEZA said Bohol is poised to become a thriving hub for economic activity, due to increased interest from investors.
