Xiamen Airlines launched a new international route connecting Chongqing, China to Manila, with a stopover in Quanzhou.
The new flight, which commenced on Dec. 30, 2024, will help strengthen ties between China and the Philippines, further facilitating cultural, economic and trade exchanges.
The route departs from Chongqing at 9:35 a.m., with an arrival in Quanzhou at 11:50 a.m.
After a short layover, the flight departs Quanzhou at 1:35 p.m., reaching Manila at 4:10 p.m.
The addition will not only streamline travel between these key cities but also expand Chongqing’s connections with other RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) member countries.
Xiamen Airlines said this route is part of a broader strategy to enhance Chongqing’s connectivity with the Asia-Pacific region, strengthening its relationship with Manila, a friendly sister city.
By facilitating easier travel and fostering greater exchange, the new service is expected to further boost tourism, business and cultural interactions between the two cities.
The airline also indicated that future flight schedules will be adjusted and announced in accordance with demand and operational plans.
