Vivant Corp.’s social responsibility arm Vivant Foundation Inc. announced the election of its executive director Shem Jose Garcia as the new chair of the League of Corporate Foundations (LCF) on Dec. 4, 2024.
Previously serving as vice chair, Garcia’s new leadership role underscores his commitment to advancing corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability in the Philippines.
The League of Corporate Foundations, composed of 99 operating and grant-making corporate and family foundations, is the country’s leading network for fostering environmental, social and governance (ESG)-driven initiatives.
By championing sustainable development and collaboration among businesses, LCF has been instrumental in addressing critical social and environmental challenges. As chair, Garcia aims to position businesses as catalysts for positive change, aligning with Vivant Foundation’s mission of “creating sustainable solutions for our changing world.”
