Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Secretary Amenah Pangandaman was recognized as one of top-performing government officials, securing an 89.4-percent approval rating in the third-quarter “Boses ng Bayan” survey.
The independent, non-commissioned survey, conducted from Sept. 20 to 30, 2024, underscores Pangandaman’s dedication to transparency, good governance and budget efficiency.
“We will work even harder in pursuing fiscal reforms and strategic, open governance,” Pangandaman said.
The third-place ranking in the survey shows her role in driving initiatives that support the administration’s objectives for a more progressive and resilient Bagong Pilipinas.
She follows Department of Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos Jr. and Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rex Gatchalian, who garnered the highest scores with 95.8 percent and 93.5 percent, respectively.
Pangandaman’s leadership in enhancing public financial management and her advocacy for women’s empowerment in governance earned widespread public appreciation, making her an influential force within the DBM and beyond.
Her focus on fiscal accountability and efficient budget allocation continues to bolster the administration’s vision for sustainable development, positively impacting Filipinos across the nation.
The nationwide survey gathered insights from 10,000 adults, achieving a ±1 percent margin of error and a 95 percent confidence level, providing a reliable snapshot of public sentiment across the Philippines.
The findings highlight a notable increase in approval for the administration, with all cabinet members scoring above the passing mark—reflecting the government’s commitment to transparency and effective public service.
