Newport turns over mobile laboratory to Caloocan under LAB for All program

Newport World Resorts, with the support of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR), heeded the call to help deliver free medical services and medicines closer to Filipinos in need through a donation of a fully functional mobile laboratory to the city government of Caloocan.

The donation was made in support of the Office of the First Lady’s project dubbed “LAB for ALL”, which aims to provide free laboratory services, consultations with specialists and medicines for the Filipino community at large.

Newport World Resorts president and chief executive Nilo Rodriguez noted the importance of collaboration towards nation building.

“Through meaningful partnerships with the government, we are able to bring this commitment to fruition. We hope this Mobile Laboratory reaches those in need, contributing to the betterment of Filipino lives within the community,” he said.

The mobile laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art medical services equipment. To provide prompt and accessible healthcare to the community, the LAB for ALL unit donated by the multifaceted integrated resort includes a fully-equipped x-ray room, a functional laboratory set up for basic tests, an examination room, portable ultrasound machine and ECG machine.

The partnership of PAGCOR and Newport World Resorts Foundation Inc. for the LAB for ALL project for the benefit of Caloocan residents and the community it serves exemplifies the shared commitment to supporting the government’s healthcare programs for underserved Filipinos, the company said.

Under PAGCOR’s nation-building mandate, all Philippine integrated resort casino licensees are required to establish a foundation to fund various programs on corporate social responsibility.
