ABS-CBN Corp. said Tuesday its longest noontime program “It’s Showtime” will transfer to GMA Network’s GTV Channel starting July 1, 2023 after TV5 decided to air another show hosted by Tito and Vic Sotto, Joey de Leon and other former hosts of “Eat Bulaga”.

“With the new programming movements in TV5, we are sad to announce that ‘It’s Showtime’ will no longer be seen on TV5 beginning 1 July 2023,” the broadcast network of the Lopez Group said.

“We would like to extend its heartfelt appreciation to TV5 chairman Manny Pangilinan for his support for ABS-BN and for bringing ‘It’s Showtime’ to a wider audience through our content partnership,” it said.

“It’s Showtime” has aired for 14 years over Channel 2 and Channel 5.

“We value the meaningful relationship we have built and nurtured with our audience in the noontime slot. It is for this reason that we have respectfully declined the 4:30 p.m. timeslot offered by TV5 for the show,” ABS-CBN said.

Pangilinan’s MediaQuest Holdings Inc. earlier signed an agreement with the former hosts of “Eat Bulaga” to produce content for TV5 and other platforms.

The announcement came after the former hosts of the original “Eat Bulaga” resigned from production company TAPE Inc. controlled by the Jalosjos family.

“We assure the viewers of ‘It’s Showtime’ that they can continue to watch their favorite noontime show on A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, iWantTFC and TFC from Monday to Saturday at 12 noon,” ABS-CBN said.

“We are also very grateful to GMA’s TV Channel and happy to announce that ‘It’s Showtime’ has found another home,” it said.

“It’s Showtime” will be aired from Monday to Saturday at 12 noon.

“We are thankful for the loyal support our audiences have provided for ‘It’s Showtime’ and hope they continue to find joy and entertainment on the show as it seeks to find more ways to reach them,” ABS-CBN said.
