Liliw, Laguna—The Department of Tourism Region VI-A named Silent Integrated Farm in Barangay Dagatan, Liliw, Laguna as the first agri-tourism farm site in the area.

Rossel Miras and Isagani Moneda of the Municipal Tourism Office of Liliw Laguna said in an interview Silent Integrated Farm met all the requirements set by the DOT. The income-generating farm has raised awareness of the townsfolk on the potential of the agri-tourism industry.

“Silent Integrated Farm is the very first to get the accreditation of the DOT. It has proven it played a very essential role especially at the time of the pandemic,” said Miras.

Silent Integrated Farm has helped the local economy of Liliw by creating jobs for the people at a crucial time. It employs 70 individuals who have heartwarming stories to tell on how the farm has helped uplift their lives.

One of them shared how she is able to sustain support for her father who is undergoing dialysis twice a week, while a senior citizen said it helps her support her husband who is a stroke patient.
