Globe Telecom Inc. said on Wednesday it rolled out more cell sites using 700 megahertz frequency to expand mobile network capacity.
The company, a unit of Ayala Corp., said it fired up cell sites in Davao using the 700 MHz band, as part of its plan to activate an initial batch of 200 cell sites within the next several months.
The sites in Davao serve several locations, including the Insular Village, Waterfront Hotel, Nova Tierra Subdivision, Fortune Homes Village, Barangay Pampanga, Lanang, Dona Pilar Subdivision, resorts in Samal Island that include Paradise Resort, Blue Jazz Resort, Blue Water and Costa Marina, DPWH Region XI Office, Barangay Panacan, Dona Mercedes Village, Eastern Mindanao Command Camp, Valle Verde Estate Subdivision, Forest Lake Memorial Park,PMPC Village, Celllidona Village, Don Ramon Village and Veterans Village–Phase2.
