11 companies bidding for Clark road design

Eleven firms have signified their interest to join the bidding for the detailed engineering design of some 45 kilometers of roads in the proposed Clark Green City project, state-run Bases Conversion and Development Authority said Tuesday.

BCDA said among those that purchased bid documents were DCCD Engineering Corp.; Design Science Inc.; E.H. Sison Engineers Company; Foresight Development Surveying Co.; Infra Consultants in the Philippines Inc.; Jose Cris Builders; Philipp’s Technical Consultants Corp.; PHILKOEI International Inc.; Shema Konsult Inc.; TCGI Engineers; and Urban Integrated Consultants Inc.

BCDA president and chief executive Arnel Paciano Casanova said aside from the design of the road network, the winning bidder would also design the Clark Green City business center.

“This will send a strong signal to encourage prospective locators to start investing in Clark Green City,” he said.

Consulting services will address the detailed engineering design, environmental and social mitigation plans in accordance with international safety policies and traffic study.

It will involve the detailed design of major roads, bridges, pavements, slope protection, sidewalk, bike lanes, road lighting, drainage, ancillary and miscellaneous items and identification of area for utility tunnel including final alignment.

The detailed engineering design will also determine the ultimate number of lanes and the maximum carriageway width based on traffic study.

The detailed engineering design for the major road networks and the Clark Green City business center (project site office) has an approved budget of P9.8 million, inclusive of VAT and taxes.

Submission of eligibility documents is on or before July 2, 2015 at the BCDA Corporate Office in Bonifacio Global City.
