The Filipino-Chinese community, led by the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII), raised an emergency disaster relief fund of P10 million to help victims of recent calamities in the Philippines.
The relief operations were coordinated by the Filipino at Tsino Magkaibigan Foundation.
FFCCCII president Victor Lim led the team and delivered 10,000 sacks of rice to Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso on July 31, 2025 to help displaced families and ease the burden on evacuation centers.
In addition to Metro Manila, relief operations were also conducted in provinces including Bulacan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Pangasinan, and La Union.
Lim also visited Bacolod City, where he worked with the Bacolod Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce to donate construction materials for rebuilding efforts in surrounding areas affected by the Kanlaon volcano eruption.
A seven-story, 100-foot hydraulic aerial ladder modern fire truck, was donated by the family of Dr. Manuel S. Lo, founder of Grace Pharmacy Bacolod and Merzci Bakeshop, to the the Bacolod Chinese Volunteer Fire Brigade to improve the region’s disaster response capacity.
