The Chinese Filipino Business Club Inc. (CFBCI) participated in the Philippine International Furniture Show 2025 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City on March 6, 2025.
The event, themed “Philippines: An Archipelago of Design,” was attended by government officials, foreign embassies, chambers of commerce, private sector representatives, and furniture enthusiasts.
CFBCI President Samuel Lee Uy, vice chairmen Ramon Uy, Mylene Co and Jimmy Ang and plenary member Justin Ang were present during the event.
Erwin Tan, president of the Philippine International Furniture Show, cited the organization’s commitment to sustainability and the global recognition of Filipino design.
Raquel Ruth Tria-Joya, acting head of the MICE Department of the Tourism Promotions Board Philippines, said Filipino-made furniture contributes to the country’s tourism industry.
Paolo Castro, national president of the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers, discussed the growth of Filipino artisans on the international stage.
Sharlene Zabala-Batin, assistant secretary of the Department of Tourism, affirmed the DOT’s support in preserving Philippine culture and heritage.
CFBCI president Samuel Lee Uy expressed the organization’s support for initiatives that foster economic growth and promote local designers and manufacturers.
The three-day event, held from March 6 to 8, featured over 200 brands from Manila, Pampanga and Cebu.
