Fiesta in America, the longest-running trade and multicultural event on the United States East Coast, is gearing up for its 2024 edition with a stellar lineup of over 25 performers.

Attendees can look forward to a variety of performances, including a stunning fashion show, soulful acoustic folk music, energetic K-Pop dance, heartfelt ballads, lively showbands and tribute bands, and traditional and line dances. The main performers will be American Idol Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez and OPM balladeer Bryan Termulo.

Bryan Termulo is a singer-songwriter who is known for singing the theme songs of several local TV shows

The event, taking place at the American Dream, the second-largest retail and entertainment center in the U.S., in East Rutherford, New Jersey, is set for Aug. 17 and 18.

Fernando Mendez, president and founder of Fiesta in America, announced that there are still slots available for Philippine business operators and local units (LUs) interested in exploring opportunities in the vast American market.

“Over 10,000 Filipino-Americans and around 50,000 additional mall visitors traditionally attend the largest indoor trade and culture exposition mounted by a Filipino group yearly for the past 26 years,” said Mendez. “If you’re thinking of capitalizing on the growing Philippine market and the strong household income of Filipinos in the United States, this is the event to go to.”

Fiesta in America enjoys support from hundreds of brands from the Philippines, the U.S., and other countries, all eager to tap into the lucrative Filipino-American market in the New York-New Jersey area.

During a press conference held in Quezon City over the weekend, Mendez highlighted that one of the Fiesta’s greatest achievements is its ability to bring together people from all walks of life to celebrate cultural heritage and forge economic ties.

“Stewarding Fiesta in America is my little way of promoting our culture, our products, our talent, and the beauty of the Philippines,” said Mendez. “Our mission has always been to connect Filipino entrepreneurs with mainstream business and Fil-Am consumers through a festival that highlights immigrant-centered services, Filipino products, heritage, and talent.”

The event promises activities for all ages, trade exhibits, business opportunities, concerts, entertainment, and networking. A week before the main event, on Aug. 11, the People’s Ball will be held at the Marriott Newark International Airport Hotel in New Jersey. Chaired by Mendez’s partner, Laura Garcia, this highly anticipated annual gala will feature a special buffet dinner, live performances, ballroom dancing, and Empowerment Awards recognizing outstanding Filipino-Americans. Influential leaders and notable figures in the Fil-Am community traditionally attend this prestigious event.

Founded in 1996 by Mendez and his late wife Mila, Fiesta in America aims to promote the Philippines not only as a travel destination but also as a global business partner.
