Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading airline, reported that 95 percent of its flying pilots and cabin crew are now vaccinated, and is on track to completing its employee inoculation by October this year.

CEB on August 26 administered the second dose of COVID-19 vaccines to some employees through its own vaccination program, COVID Protect. The second doses for the remaining employees are expected to be administered in September.

To date, 93 percent of CEB’s total workforce have been inoculated.

The COVID Protect program is part of the Gokongwei Group’s initiative for all its business units. CEB employees receive free inoculation for themselves and their dependents, as well as the airline’s third-party workers.

CEB has also been actively coordinating with various local government units to boost the progress of vaccination for its workforce.

“It is our pleasure to keep doing what we can to ensure that our own people are protected, so our passengers will also be able to fly worry-free with us,” said Felix Lopez, vice president of Cebu Pacific.
