Emergency

Emergency

Members of the Cordillera police carry a pregnant woman using a ‘fulig’—a makeshift stretcher using a blanket and a bamboo pole or a pipe—for at least an hour from Sitio Batnong in Brgy. Banawal to the nearest village where transportation can be accessed. The woman was brought to the Anastacia Rafael Safel Memorial Hospital in Brgy. Poblacion. Philippine National Police chief Gen. Guillermo Eleazar on Monday lauded the police officers for their act of genuine public service. “This only showed that the police who are loyal to the service never get tired of responding to those who need help. I hope other policemen will follow their example in responding quickly in times of need,” Eleazar said.
