The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila released on April 19 the list of first screening passers of their Admission Test.
Due to the “new normal” and the rules and regulations mandated by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases, PLM approved a “modified freshman admissions system” for the incoming school year, the school said in a statement.
The new system involves a two-step screening process to qualify for a degree program. The admission process for the first screening took two months and closed on March 31.
For the incoming school year, the PLM has received more than 55,000 applications, and through the University’s thorough evaluation of the applicants’ high school records and validation of submitted documents, only 5,457 qualified for the initial round.
Half of the first round qualifiers are senior high school students in public schools within the City of Manila, 30% are from Manila private schools, and 20% are non-Manila residents who studied in public and private educational institutions.
A second screening will be initiated for the first level passers, the details of which will be provided subsequently.
