Leo Rey Yanson in control of Rural Transit Mindanao

Businessman Leo Rey Yanson has tightened his grip over the ownership and management of Rural Transit (Mindanao) Inc. after the company’s annual stockholders’ meeting on Feb. 10, 2021.

RTMI is a Cagayan de Oro City-based subsidiary of the Yanson Group of Bus Companies.

During the meeting, Olivia Yanson, Leo Rey Yanson, Charles Dumancas, Rey Ardo, Anita Chua and Daniel Nicolas Golez were re-elected as members of RTMI’s board of directors.

Following the election of the directors, the board held an organizational meeting and reappointed Leo Rey Yanson as chairman of the board and president of RTMI, while Olivia Yanson was re-appointed corporate secretary and treasurer, according to a company statement issued to reporters.

The company said that despite the proper and timely notice given to them, stockholders Roy Yanson, Ricardo Yanson Jr., Ma. Lourdes Celina Lopez, Ma. Susan Yanson and Juan Manuel Lopez did not attend the meeting.

Leo Rey Yanson assured the public that despite the challenges faced in 2020, the company remains strong and resilient.

It continues to be steadfast in its goal to serve the Filipino people and remains committed to providing the riding public with the most reliable means of public transportation, he said.
