CAMP VICENTE LIM, Calamba City – Lt. Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, the Philippine National Police Deputy Chief for Administration, graced the 30th PNP Founding Anniversary Celebration of Police Regional Office CALABARZON at this camp on Tuesday.
Highlighting the celebration, with the theme “PNP@30: Kakampi mo Laban sa Pandemya, Ilegal na Droga, Kurapsyon at Terorismo,” was the Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Bantayog ng mga Bayani, and the awarding of deserving personnel and civilians in recognition of their hard work and unwavering support to the plans and programs of PRO CALABARZON.
Civilian awardees were recognized for their support and cooperation with PRO CALABARZON to end local communist armed conflict in the Southern Tagalog region.
In his message, Eleazar thanked the members of PRO CALABARZON for their courage, determination, and dedication shown despite the prejudice, calamities, hazards, and threats faced in the past year, such as the Taal Volcano eruption and the current COVID-19 pandemic.
“Not only on various police operations, but also during Taal and the COVID-19 pandemic, nakita how you have braved the situation despite of the challenges and the safety of your own lives,” Eleazar said.
On PRO CALABARZON’s campaign against terrorism and insurgency, Eleazar also thanked the local government units, other concerned agencies, and the communities’ participation.
He also recognized the 100 percent clustering of Barangay under the Community Mobilization Project, which is one of PRO4A’s Best Practices in the government’s effort to end local communist armed conflict.
“The government allotted resources in this program, we have seen the improvement, hence this must be pursued but in accordance with the rule of law, respect of the civil and human rights. We must sustain our efforts to stop insurgency,” added Eleazar.
Meanwhile, Eleazar emphasized the importance of information dissemination in the COVID-19 vaccination program of the government.
He acknowledged the vital role of the members of the PNP during the vaccination process in providing security from its place of origin, storage, to places of vaccination.
“Information dissemination is very important. We must properly educate our personnel as well as the general population,” he said.
Eleazar also acknowledged PRO4A as the Best Police Regional Office for years and its key role in the PNP’s peace and order efforts.
“It is fitting to conclude that CALABARZON is Home of the Braves, and Home of the Heroes. Ipagpatuloy ninyo ang init ng paglilingkod, commitment and dedication sa paglilingkod sa ating bayan,” he ended.
Closing the 30th PNP Founding Anniversary Celebration was the Field Demonstration from the PRO4A Marching Band and Kaindak Dance Group witnessed by Eleazar, officers, men and women of PRO CALABARZON and other visitors.
