NLEX Corp. said Thursday it is undertaking several physical and system improvements in its toll plazas to ensure that 100-percent RFID transactions will be smoothly implemented in North Luzon Expressway and Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway by Nov. 2.
These improvements include the installation of 303 new canopy signage and 66 units of plaza lighting. Of the 303 signage, 100 were completed in the first week of October and the rest would be finished by December. It said the pavement markings at the toll plazas would be repainted to help direct traffic, while the lights would increase visibility at night.
“As we fully transition to 100-percent cashless transactions, motorists can expect more improvements, and we will continue to ensure safety while delivering unmatched public service,” NLEX Corp. president and general manager J. Luigi Bautista said.
