Global connected transportation provider Geotab Inc. joined the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines to advance data-driven fleet management, road safety and sustainability in the country.
The transportation solutions company is tapping into the growing adoption of digital tools and analytics to improve transport efficiency amid rising fuel costs, safety concerns and operational challenges across a geographically dispersed logistics network.
Through joint initiatives, including industry forums and policy dialogues, Geotab and the ECCP will promote wider adoption of fleet digitalization and evidence-based decision-making across both public and private sectors.
The move reinforces Geotab’s expansion in the Asia-Pacific region and its growing engagement with industry associations focused on transport efficiency and sustainability.
“Joining ECCP allows us to support broader industry conversations around fleet digitalisation and road safety that are already taking place in the Philippines,” Geotab associate vice-president for Southeast Asia Ezanne Soh said.
The ECCP said the collaboration will help strengthen industry dialogue on transport modernization, infrastructure development and energy efficiency, providing a platform for knowledge-sharing between the private sector and policymakers.
“Our goal is to help fleets improve safety and efficiency while supporting their transition to more sustainable operations. Access to global expertise and data-driven approaches can help businesses operate more efficiently while contributing to safer roads and lower environmental impact,” ECCP executive-director Florian Gottein said.
The group said road transport remains a significant driver of the Philippine economy, supporting logistics and mobility across more than 7,000 islands.
However, fleet operators continue to face challenges such as inefficient vehicle utilization, accident risks and rising maintenance and fuel expenses, prompting wider interest in data-enabled solutions.
