Triconti Windkraft Group (TWG), a Filipino-Swiss joint venture, has secured two wind energy projects with a combined capacity of up to 150 megawatts (MW) under the Department of Energy’s Fourth Green Energy Auction (GEA-4) program.
The projects, located in Atimonan, Quezon and Anda, Bohol, are expected to add between 120 and 150 MW of clean, renewable energy capacity to the grid between 2027 and 2028. This output is sufficient to power an estimated 153,000 to 192,000 Filipino households annually.
TWG said this achievement strengthens the country’s commitment to reducing reliance on imported fuels and accelerating the transition to indigenous energy sources.
“Through these projects we aim to do more than supply renewable energy,” said Lila Rosenberger, president and chief executive of TWG.
“We want to create lasting benefits for our host communities—generating jobs supporting local businesses and investing in programs that help improve quality of life. Our vision is to make clean energy a driver of inclusive growth,” said Rosenberger.
The success of GEA-4 is part of the government’s broader efforts toward sustainability economic development and energy security. The ongoing expansion of renewable energy projects nationwide signals that energy independence is becoming a reality in the Philippines.
