Manila receives 20k capiz lights from Korean biz group

The city government of Manila received 20,000 capiz lights from the Korean business community to replace the broken lights throughout the city.

He recognized the relevance and timeliness of the donation, noting its contribution to the city’s efforts to illuminate public areas.

Capiz lights are lighting fixtures that incorporate capiz shells, which are known for their translucent, pearly appearance.

Present during the handover meeting were Jung Gi Cho, President of the Korean Business Community; Richard O. Lee, consultant; Daniel Oh, translator; Tim Dy, President and CEO; Antonio Ona, Director for International Affairs; Raynald Apostol, General Manager; and Jonmar Lutero, Marketing Head.

Domagoso also expressed support for Korean businesses in the capital city.

“Rest assured, while I am in charge, no one will oppress or abuse you. You are free to do business here in our city… Together, let’s make Manila brighter and more vibrant,” he said.
