“I’m currently in the writing stage. So, I’m working on songs for my upcoming releases. As of now, my goal as an artist is still to be the voice for the people who listen because we all share the same issues, life crises, things like that,” said Arthur.

“I want to provide a voice for those who find it difficult to express their feelings. Then, I wanted to be like the voice for them,” he added.

Delving into his songs, the 24-year-old artist described his latest EP, MU, which means “malabong usapan”, as his “warnings” for Gen Zs who are currently in unsure relationships.

“It consists of five songs. Basically, the EP explains what you might go through when you enter a ‘situationship’. That’s the main point of the EP,” stated Arthur.

“If you’ve been ghosted or have loved at the wrong time—it’s kind of a warning for everyone that when you take a risk in a relationship that isn’t certain, there are so many things you could end up experiencing,” he continued.

Performing in front of his crowd during the school tour, Arthur performed some of his hit songs such as “Liham” and “Ang Wakas”.

Arthur Miguel is one of the OPM artists who headlined the We Play Here School Tour last Aug. 23, at the College of Science Amphitheater, University of the Philippines Diliman.
