Chef Boy Logro unveils new dishes at La Parillada

World-renowned chef Pablo “Boy” Logro introduced new dishes at the recently opened La Parillada restaurant in Quezon City.

La Parillada, which offers a fusion of American and Mexican cuisine, is overseen by Logro.

“It’s a place for diners to enjoy classic barbecue ribs and similar items,” said Logro, who played a key role in developing the La Parillada concept.

A feast for the senses: burrito, quesadilla, and beef and pork barbecue

Cajun-style chicken, pork and beef barbecues are among the top sellers at La Parillada, located on the second floor of Royal Place Arcade in Commonwealth, beside Ever Mall.

“These favorites are marinated for three days and pre-cooked for six hours,” Logro said. “We roast our barbecue using volcanic rocks for a tender and smoky flavor.”

The dishes are then served with Logro’s signature sauce made with secret spices and seasonings.

The restaurant also features Mexican-inspired burritos, tacos and quesadillas, according to the world-class chef.

La Parillada offers a family feast menu to cater to different palates. The meals start at P939 (for Cajun-style chicken barbecue), P1,089 (for pork belly barbecue) and P1,369 (for beef brisket barbecue).

Each family feast includes a generous serving of 500 grams of meat or a whole chicken, four orders of rice (upgradable), a choice of two side dishes and 1.5 liters of soda.

Netplates Corp., the company behind La Parillada, is investing millions of pesos to expand its food service business in the next three years.

“The opening of the new La Parillada outlet represents the company’s commitment to growth in the food service and franchising sectors,” Logro said.

“We’re offering the La Parillada brand as a franchise opportunity for entrepreneurs,” he added.

The company pegged the franchise investment cost at P3.5 million pesos per outlet.

With the new store in Quezon City, the restaurant chain now has three branches, including those at Gateway and SM Megamall.

Netplates is an affiliate of a Philippine conglomerate with interests in service contracting, business outsourcing, management services, security services, construction, cloud kitchens, restaurant information technology and financial services.
