Manila was named one of the five riskiest destinations for tourists, according to a news report released by Forbes Advisor.
The report assessed 60 cities worldwide based on seven key factors: crime, personal safety, health security, infrastructure, natural disasters, and digital security. Manila placed fifth on the overall risk list.
The report highlighted the city’s high exposure to natural disasters, ranking it as the most vulnerable among the surveyed locations. Additionally, Manila scored poorly in personal security (5th highest risk) and health security (7th highest risk).
On the other hand, Caracas, Venezuela, was ranked the riskiest due to a combination of high crime rates, poor healthcare infrastructure, and a negative travel safety rating.
The report also listed the safest cities for tourists. Singapore took the top spot, followed by Tokyo and Toronto.
