Carlo “The Bull” Bumina-ang finally earned a lucrative ONE Championship contract with a scintillating second-round submission victory over Chayan Oorzhak.
This happened at ONE Friday Fights 65 tonight, emanating live from the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Team Lakay representative was booming in his fifth straight win, enabling him to secure the US$100,000 contract as he fulfilled his dreams of making it to the world’s largest martial arts organization.
Like in his previous matches, “The Bull” showcased that hunger as he connected with his thunderous strikes that battered his Russian-Mongolian foe.
But it wasn’t all strikes as he even tried it on the ground, gaining control as he tried to wrap things up with a rear-naked choke in the first round.
Even when the fight went to the second frame, the 30-year-old prospect was just relentless, nailing a brutal left straight before finally fastening a ninja choke that forced the tap at the 2:39 mark of the second round.
