Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla, Jr. has just announced that Birador: Alyas Pogi 4 is his chosen comeback film after a long absence from the big screen. The big screen project will be produced by Imus Productions and will be directed by Dondon Santos.
Why did he choose Alyas Pogi as material for his comeback?
“Because that was my commitment before. I’ve been saying I would do that for a long time but couldn’t do it. It was supposed to be done before the 2022 elections. So now, I’m finally doing it.
There have been many requests. They said, ‘do Alyas Pogi since you’ve already done 1, 2, and 3. So, this will be the fourth [installement] of the movie,” he said.
Meanwhile, the actor-politician has just been officially proclaimed an “Adopted Son” in a formal resolution passed by the Municipal Council of Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro.
In a program held on April 8, Revilla was presented with a copy of the resolution by Mayor Walter “Bong” Marquez, Vice Mayor Edwin Mintu, and other officials and employees of the said local government.
Also present in the program was Occidental Mindoro Governor Eduardo Gadiano.
Resolution No. 2024-SDM335 recognized and appreciated Revilla’s support for Sablayan and his participation as guest of honor in this year’s opening of the Provincial Sports Meet in Occidental Mindoro.
Also cited in the Resolution was the “Revilla Law” authored by the lawmaker, which enables all Senior Citizens to enjoy their cash gift at an earlier age.
“I am truly thankful to all my townmates in Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro for taking me in as their adopted son. It’s a great honor which I’ll treasure my whole life through – their acceptance, love, and recognition,” Revilla said. Nickie Wang
