The Filipino-Chinese Amity Club will send its delegation to the 135th Canton Fair that will be held from April 15 to May 5 in Guangzhou, China.
“We are organizing a delegation to attend the Canton Fair from April 14 to 17, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive, and all available slots have been filled. Currently, we have 40 businessmen registered to participate in this delegation,” said the Filipino- Chinese Amity Club said.
The club, established in 1974, aims to foster friendship and enhance mutual understanding between China and the Philippines. With branches spanning across key provinces and cities throughout the Philippines, the club remains committed to providing disaster relief charity efforts.
The 135th Canton Fair is scheduled to take place in three phases. Established in 1957, it is China’s premier export platform, facilitating trade and commerce on a global scale. It showcases exports from Chinese manufacturers, facilitating various opportunities for economic cooperation and technology exchange.
It also provides online platforms to cater to global purchasers.
The Canton Fair concluded deals exceeding $60 billion in value in 2023. It serves as a primary avenue for the Filipino-Chinese community to source import products, providing them with access to a wide range of offerings and opportunities for business collaboration.
Most products that Filipino-Chinese businesses import from the Canton Fair are daily light industrial products, electronic devices, motors and cars and others.
