HANOI—President Marcos said he will not replace Vice President Sara Duterte as his Education Secretary, saying his relationship with her remained “exactly the same.”
“She hasn’t said anything of that nature [insulting statements],” the President said in an interview with the media during his state visit to Vietnam yesterday afternoon.
Mr. Marcos said he believes the “UniTeam” coalition that supported their tandem in the 2022 elections remained intact.
“I believe [it is]. Uniteam is the unification of political forces in the Philippines to come together for the good of the country and that is still there. It is still vibrant, it is still working, and now, we will continue on that basis,” the President said.
