The Philippine Stock Exchange halted market trading on Wednesday, two minutes after opening.
“Please be advised that the trading in the market is currently halted. Kindly stand by for further announcements,” the PSE said in an advisory posted on its X social media account.

The PSE did not provide a reason for the trading halt.
Before the trading suspension, the Philippine Stock Exchange index was trading at 6,541,03 points, down 13.01 points, or 0.20 percent, from previous day’s close.
