The Philippine College of Criminology’s alumni came together for a historic event, the 1st One PCCR Alumni General Assembly and Fellowship Night. Held at the Winford Resort Hotel and Casino, Manila, the night was marked by camaraderie and shared connections.
The evening commenced with an engaging press conference, attended by reputable media outlets such as Manila Bulletin, Inquirer, Astig PH, Manila Times, Manila Standard and the Daily Tribune.
President Ma. Angelica Lei Bautista, joined by prominent personalities including PBGen Nicanor A. Bartolome (Ret.), Hon. Jorge Antonio Bustos, Dr. Mandy Gonzales, and Dean Gaypelyn Casiw, laid the foundation for the upcoming festivities.
Bautista reflected on the changes brought about by the new administration, aiming to unify the alumni under the banner of a single PCCR association.

“We want to give new flavor, something fresh like a reboot. So, I proposed to start over and reorganize a new organization,” shared President Bautista.
The atmosphere transformed into an interactive and celebratory affair post the press conference. Dr. Kerwin Bartolome’s warm welcome set the tone for the night, fostering an inviting ambiance.
Attendees were serenaded by live music as they indulged in a delectable buffet dinner. A captivating video presentation offered a sneak peek into the upcoming 70th founding anniversary celebrations, sparking excitement among the guests.
The highlight of the night was the address by Hon. Jorge Antonio Bustos, who, despite not being a PCCR alumnus, lauded the excellence of the institution. His call for a new perspective in law enforcement – infusing compassion and a multi-hyphenated role – resonated deeply.
“Let’s make the police and other law enforcers assume a multi-hyphenated role. Lagyan natin ng puso ang mga enforcers,” Bustos emphasized, touching the audience with his message of love-driven solutions.

President Bautista returned to the stage to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of the alumni. The evening also saw the acknowledgment of six outstanding alumni, including Asec Gil T. Torralba, PB Gen. John C. Chua, and PBGen Rizalito Gapas, among others.
Their heartfelt speeches conveyed gratitude and appreciation for the recognition bestowed upon them.
As the night drew to a close, the upbeat atmosphere continued with a lively raffle draw, music, and dancing, creating lasting memories and fostering a stronger bond among attendees.
The event marked a significant milestone in the PCCR alumni community, leaving an indelible mark of unity and celebration.
