Lakrini 2nd runner-up in Ms. Globe pageant

A night before the Miss Universe coronation night, Anna Valencia Lakrini, the Philippines’ bet to the Miss Globe 2023 pageant, once again showcased the country’s rich beauty heritage as she bagged the 2nd runner-up title on Saturday in Tirana, Albania.

Wearing a stunning silver ensemble with a slit and intricate beadwork designed by Filipino fashion designer Louis Pangilinan, Lakrini strutted the Miss Globe stage as she proudly wore her crown as the crowd cheered for her.

Malaysia’s Manvin Khera claimed the Miss Globe 2023 crown while Katia Agbodo Rodriguez of Spain earned the first runner-up title.

During the pageant’s Q&A portion, Lakrini was asked about her favorite life motto and the reason behind it.

With a heartfelt response, the 25-year-old Filipina-German beauty queen shared the importance of savoring each moment of her life.

“Well, my favorite life quote would be to always enjoy the moment, ‘cause you never know when it’s too late. I am very happy that my family is here, actually, because I haven’t seen them in two years,” said Lakrini.

She emphasized living in the present moment, stating: “You know, it’s always important to live in the moment. Live ‘cause you never know when it’s too late; and I think COVID really showed us to really enjoy each and every single second with family members, loved ones, or just friends.”

Wearing a one-piece swimsuit, the Bataan native earned the first runner-up spot during the Miss Globe’s Miss Bikini competition.

Lakrini’s success at Miss Globe 2023 follows a string of impressive performances in the Binibining Pilipinas pageant, when she was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2023 in May. She also took home the Best in Swimsuit award.
