A student delegation of next-generation leaders from the Philippines explored Madrid for the Spanish Language and Culture Learning Visit (SLCLV).

The annual educational program includes a series of intensive lectures and participative workshops that allow attendees to expand their knowledge of the customary forms of the country.

They may likewise earn a deeper understanding of the enduring ties between the two nations, plus their politics and governance.

The exposure includes experiential tours to historical and significant places in and around Madrid to immerse the guests into the day-to-day life of the Spanish.

This was all made possible through the partnership between the De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) and Universidad de Alcalá (UAH), situated in the outskirts of the capital city, one of the most prestigious public universities in Alcalá de Henares that offers a wide range of courses on humanistic studies and social sciences.

The Filipino contingent was comprised of aspiring young diplomats from the Consular and Diplomatic Affairs (CDA) and Diplomacy and International Affairs (DIA) Programs of the Benilde School of Diplomacy and Governance (SDG). Their participation in SLCLV will be credited as part of their internship.

It included  Rafael Aldeguer, Harjit Bobis, Maria Cuerpo, Sabrina Don, Regine Inocencio, Jam Ladiana, Hannah Lopena, Karla Macalindong, Teodoro Martija III, Paula Panganiban, Jana Roque, Rue Sumulong, Entienne Tiamzon, Juan Miguel Tinoco,  and  Sherie-Beatrice Uy.
