Japanese restaurant Teppanya has launched premium items for its Unlimited Madness buffet, headlined by the melt-in-your-mouth Miyazaki Wagyu A5 chuck strip and chuck-eye, Alaskan wild snow crab, and Hokkaido large scallops.
At P4,988+ per person, it is undoubtedly one of the most expensive – if not the most expensive – buffets in the metro outside of hotel offerings, and Teppanya is proud of it.
“Ours is one of the most expensive buffets. This is truly a deal-breaker – it is the highest at 5-star hotel quality but in a way also the lowest priced buffet that already has unlimited A5 wagyu and unlimited snow crabs,” said Teppanya CEO Mark Pineda.
“Our buffet is really a celebration. We let our menu speak for itself,” he added.
Pineda said they source the A5 wagyu and Hokkaido scallops from Japan, and are in the process of striking a similar direct sourcing agreement for snow crabs with a supplier from North America.
“Filipinos love food, especially Japanese cuisine, so what better way to enjoy their favorite dishes than bringing a unique dining experience to them. This is what Teppanya is all about,” said Yñigo Rivera, Teppanya’s Marketing Manager.
When it comes to Japanese cuisine, Teppanya is committed to bringing authenticity and attention to detail.
As for me, dining for the first time at Teppanya felt like it wasn’t just about enjoying every meal we were served, but also about the fiery dining experience that we had.
Teppanya boasts of chefs who are skilled in the art of teppanyaki, a style of cooking that involves grilling ingredients on an iron griddle which ensures that each dish is cooked to perfection, with flavors that burst in your mouth.
“Integrating these premium dishes into our Unlimited Madness is our way of extending Japan’s best flavors and more, which we hope our patrons will enjoy even more,” Rivera added.
If there’s one meal on the menu that became my personal favorite, it would be the Emperor Aburi Set which features Wagyu with Black Truffle, Unagi, and Foie Gras, which literally melted in my mouth that I almost cried after tasting it.
These premium items will be available at Teppanya branches at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City, SM North Towers in Quezon City, and Evia Lifestyle Mall in Las Pinas City.
