The Philippine team which finished runner up in the recent Co-ed Slow Pitch Softball Asia Cup will tell its journey to the World Cup set later this year as it appears in the weekly Philippine Sportswriters Association Forum on Tuesday at the conference hall of the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.
Coach Ana Santiago and Cheska Altomonte are gracing the 10:30 a.m. session to talk about their campaign in the Asia Cup held in Pattaya, Thailand, and their plans and preparations as well for the coming WBSC (World Baseball Softball Confederation) Co-ed Slow Pitch World Cup to take place by the end of the year.
The Filipino batters lost in the battle for the gold against Chinese Taipei, 8-2, but nonetheless clinched a World Cup berth by virtue of their silver medal finish.
